Here, we'll take a quick look at some of the telltale signs that your boiler isn't working optimally and that it might require a gas boiler repair or replacement soon.
Is your house Insurance valid
We all know the importance of house insurance but very seldom do we actually read through the small print, in our contracts. As a gas boiler servicing company, we are finding, that homeowners are completely unaware, that if your boiler is not serviced annually, this may well invalidate your house insurance. In the unlikely event that something goes wrong with your boiler – through fire or a gas leak, you want to have the peace of mind that you are covered by insurance provider. Therefore, it is vital that your boiler is serviced annually, by a registered Gas Safe registered engineer.
Most boilers come as standard with at least a 2 -3 year parts and labour guarantee, this will also be invalidated if your boiler’s service record is not up to date
40 Deaths a Year
On average, it is reported, approximately 40 people a year die from carbon monoxide poisoning and around 300 are injured. This is mostly caused by – unmaintained or incorrectly maintained appliances and poorly installed appliances. This highlights, the importance of an annual boiler service and fitting carbon monoxide detectors, not just for your house insurance but ultimately for you and your families safety.
